I've read and re-read a lot of the repies in this thread and decided this was pretty pointless. The site is called free legal advice and all that I come across is people with a serious attitude problem with a few sprinkles of helpfull insight. Thank you to the people who tried to understand and help. I will take your advice into consideration.

I have no idea where YOUR attitude and rudeness is coming from. Then again, we're not the ones trying to dump our responsibilities.

If he is on SSI, wouldnt his child receive a portion of that check? or a check of her own?

I know a family who mom is mentally ill, almost same diagnosis, she receives a check from SSI, and all 3 of her Kids receive a check as well.

SSDI provides dependent benefits in lieu of child support, but SSI does not..and SSDI can also be garnished for CS arrears (while SSI cannot).

OP appears to be getting SSI but has neglected to modify the order.
