Good afternoon,

I had an uncle who was on dialysis, and used granuflo powder as part of the process. Earlier this year, he suffered a fatal heart attack after receiving treatment, and I have been reading information online that leads me to believe his heart attack was caused by the granuflo powder. Apparently, the product has been recalled by the FDA because it has a high risk of causing heart attacks or strokes, and it is unsafe.

From what I understand, there have been a number of heart attacks caused by granuflo, and I think my uncle may have been killed by this product. other than requiring dialysis, he didn't have any medical problems and his death was completely unexpected. I don't know anything about the law, and my aunt knows even less, but I wanted to take to this forum and see if anyone out there could help me with some advice about whether or not she can sue the company that makes granuflo, fresenius medical.

I have read some information about the granuflo recall, but there is a lot that is a little over my head. how can I tell if this product caused my uncle's death?

Can my aunt sue?

Can my aunt sue?

you can always sue. Can you win is the big question and the next one is; would you win enough to justify a suit and honestly, this is something that is going to require something other than an internet forum to determine. Your aunt should speak with a few attorneys that deal with product liability issues who can review the situation and facts and give her some guidance.

but yes, with the minimal facts you have presented, I would think it would be worth looking into.
