How do I legally contact other people's business email in bulk?
I'm not spamming, so do I include an OPT out? I just send the email once, not multiple.


Also, they are asking for it, basically on their site it says business email

Yes, that is exactly what I plan. However, these businesses haven't opted to receive them.
I'm not sitting here spamming again and again.

Growth hacking is a way to get consumers quickly. Using email marketing, I can get emails, and send it to them.

The CAN-SPAM Act does not prohibit the sending of emails to businesses but there are regulations in place to prevent businesses from being spammed. Following are two links from the FCC on the Act and how to comply with the Act (you might want to start with the second link):

Yep, but you can get your IP address (or your providers) blacklisted for this reprehensible behavior. Many of the commercial email scum houses (these guys are right there above collection agencies in my book): Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc... will delete your account if you start bombing people who haven't opted in.

Yeah I did read that, the part that confuses me, is in Canada/other countries, they require the person to OPT in.

No, not all dotcoms are in the US.

Yes. All countries have different laws and if you are mailing to businesses in different countries, their laws need to be considered.

Not all .coms are in the United States. The .com is referred to as a top level domain (or TLD) and it is generally used for commercial enterprises. You also have .biz which is restricted to businesses. There is .gov which is restricted to government agencies and .edu which is reserved for educational institutions. And every country has a country code for a TLD. In the US, it would be .us and in France, it is .fr.

I think it will probably benefit you to sit down with a business law professional in whatever state in the US you reside. It appears you need some personal guidance which we are unable to give on a forum.

NO. There are many active block lists. If you spam us, we report it to 4 different block lists. Before we recieve ANY e-mail, we check if that IP is on a blocklist. We check for example spamcop.net, spamhaus.org and barracudacentral.org.

We also use spamcop.net to report the spam to your provider and his uplinks. That includes the links to your website.

If we want to assume anything, perhaps we might want to assume that shoutoutgen has a legitimate business and he wants to stay within the law and that he is trying to find a way to market whatever his business is marketing without spamming and without irritating the very businesses whose attention he is trying to attract.

I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Mostly, I see no reason for any contributor on this legal forum to use words that require asterisks when the same message can be delivered without them.

Appreciate it. I just have so many law questions from what I've seen from personal experiences.

I have ideas for business but, I'd like to stay within the law.
But I see the law broken every minute. Handicap/Sale 24/7

Well is it considered spam if I only send you a message once?
And i thought it's legal in US for me to send an unsolicited email as long as I give the opt out and address etc.
So why would I get reported?
