harassed by other tenants

What is the name of your state? Michigan. I am being harassed by the tenant who lives under me. I have put in for a transfer because of it. The office knows that i am being picked on because of her and they have said they will not move her. I now have to come up with $710.00 plus $535.00 to move by the 1st of june>Please Help i dont know what to do Finacially i am unable

Why don't you file for a restraining order .

Each and every time you are harassed , call the Police to make a report .

If you get a restraining order , and they harass you , they can be arrested.

Especially If they are found by Law to be harassing you , the LL must do something about it .

It sounds Like you already gave notice to move , Yes ?

Harassed by other tenants

In Massachusetts, they would not give a restraining order to a tenant because they said that they had to be either boyfriend/girlfriend, married or related... Other than that they could not get a restraining order!???

I wouldn't think that's correct , although the Police can use their own Judgment , it's not always correct . For instance 2 drunks Lived under us . Knocked on our door , right after we had called the Police on them and threatened my girlfriend's life . I went out and caught the cops, and told them what had Just happened . The said we invited them in because we opened the door so there was no crime . LOL

Well , I'm a man and don't take nona .

Another incident my girlfriend's brother threatened my life . I pressed a Complaint , it went to mediation, the mediator saw my side , made the recommendation for me and my girlfriend , restraining Order was Ordered .

Because it's a tenant issue often time they will tell you it's the Landlord's problem .
