Hey. I live in Virginia. The accused lives in Tennessee and may leave to Florida if i persue legal action.
I am the mother of a 15 year old boy who has come to me and told me of a supposed friend who has tried to get sexual pictures from my son. Apparently he has threatened my son by blackmailing him into taking these pictures for him. Although my son will not tell me why he was blackmailed, he assures me that there is legitimate reasoning.
The accused is 18 years old and lives alone, after viewing the conversations between him and my son he has tried on numerious occasions to try and get "nudes" from my son. My son has only sent them to him once and my son has also recieved explicit files from the accused. I have them all along with modified dates and orginal emails. I also have webcam requests, and in conversations periods where this individual would become irate with my son because he would not concent to showing himself on the webcamera. He has fooled my son into thinking that he is a friend of his and my son is distraught that he was being used for sexual encounters. My son went to tennessee for spring break and also then the accused offered to "pick him up" and i had a talk with him. Last night was the last time they spoke, i have his contact information, his empolyer(s), and all conversations/logs/pictures/emails from the indivudual.
What I am trying to see is if there is anything I can do to persue legal action against this individual. He has blackmailed my son into sending him pictures, which in his case is considered child pornography, he has called my house at late hours trying to speak with my son and waking me and my family up. I have had to go through with blocking his number from my sons cell phone. My son has told him that he just wants to be friends but he insists on sexual relations with my son that i nor my son approve of. he has even go as far as threathen to show the pictures to all of my son's friends and tell them of his sexual orientation, (distribution of child pornography?) he has put great fear into my son and now he must see a therapist. I am very worried.
Please anyone give me some advice. Anything is appreciated.
I also believe this man is accused of other felonys, my son tells me he has a screename on here.
