A case of what? Beer? Crabs? In a legal sense, you don't have a dog in this show, you can't do anything.

It's your brother's car.

Hmm, I am think this has to do with drugs and the state's civil forfeiture laws.

Why should YOU have a case (for anything) when YOUR MOM'S car was towed for YOUR BROTHER'S misdeeds? If anyone has a "case" it would be your mother, and I'm not at all convinced that she does. But YOU most certainly do not.

The question would be WHY did they tow the car? In other words, under what authority was the vehicle towed. Was it on the street? In the driveway? Did they say it was evidence? What?

Has anyone called the police to ask?

As for contesting the tow, that can only be done by the registered owner, the legal owner, or their agent(s). So, if your brother wants to contest the tow he can request a hearing within 10 days of the impound and it must be provided within 48 hours.

We understood exactly what you meant. Too bad others quoted your original post so editing yours was a waste of time.
