What is the name of your state? Illinois

I am having a benefit for a friend who has had tragedy after tragedy. Three years ago he was in an accident in my car. His neck broke and his femur was shattered. He survived but hasn't been able to get a normal job because of his new disabilities. On February 6th 2005 he was underneath a friends car in the friends garage. The car blew up and he was severely burned.

I am now wanting to have a benefit for him but I am afraid with the leins that are held against him from his hospital bills, he won't even see this money that he desprately needs.

He just got out of the hospital from the last accident, has no health insurance and is planning on claiming bankruptcy. Is there anyway I can put the account in his name to where the debtors cannot get it? Please give me your suggestions.

Thank you,

Melissa
