Many times the prices for the SAME insurance will differ, depending on the state. I've checked.

Because the daughter has medical issues, she needs to have continuous coverage to avoid problems with pre-existing coverage.

As suggested, check what it will cost in South Dakota.

No I haven't checked in SD. This is all her mothers doing so I am letting her take care of it.

I only read the first page of this thread, so its possible that I am going to get bashed for being out of line. However....I will say this...

If you are able to provide insurance for your child, and choose not to do so because you are angry that she is returning to her mother, then in my opinion you are "pond scum".

Your daughter has a medical condition. It needs treatment. That should be all that matters to you, whether you are disappointed with her decisions or not.
