I need something more than a restraining order. Two of my siblings are the meanest, most cold hearted people on this earth. I'm not kidding. I swear either myself or them must have been switched at birth!! There just can be no blood relations possible because we're so different. They always blame me for everything that happens in their life it seems. But I am the first they ask money of. I'm so sick of them I do not want to be related to them, please there must be some type of law that I can file under, I don't want to be related to them!! At least on a legal stand point.
I'm 41 years old, my husband and I are very successful business people. They are constantly taking advantage of me. I'm to the point I just refuse to claim them, isn't there any type of lawsuit I can file, just to make myself feel better to legally not be considered blood related!! There has to be something. Someone help please!! Thanks!! Oh I live in the state of North Carolina. Is it possible that I could file something for mental abuse to disassociate myself from them?

You can pick your friends, but you canNOT pick your relatives. You are related to your siblings, and no court of law can change that.

You could be adopted by someone which would give you a new legal family, but you would still be related by blood to your siblings.

You do have the right to not associate with them. I'm sure they'll consider you to be uppity, etc., but you can live with that--you'll have to.
