What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Jersey
I purchased a 2000 volkswagen passat from a dealer and i have so many problems about a month after buying.
it has a bald tire, bubble in tire, glove compartment, rearview, and console broke., needs an air pump, front bumper hanging off, a rattling under the hood. check engine light on, and emmission is on. no inspection due to all of this. i contacted the dealer and have over a 100 emails of him saying he is fixing it and to be patient. as of date nothing has been fixed and I do have a warranty but some of this i don't believe is covered. something falls apart everyday. what rights do i have if any.

You have the right to enjoy a 10 year old car. What do you expect? Especially VW's that are known to be terrible used vehicles.

Pretty much everything you describe should have been clearly noticed if you simply opened your eyes.
You have NO case to force them to do anything... and you should be very pleased with whatever they agree to do.

Wow-you guys are so harsh.
Nice Free Advice. I think it is on every question on this board.

Well, then let me ask you the real question.

What did your mechanic say when you showed him the car before you bought it?

The vast majority of used cars are sold "as is". This means that the dealership isn't responsible for ANYTHING wrong with it... and anything they do is a bonus.
