I am interested what my rights are to this matter.

I retained the services of an attorney to handle my divorce case and after several months I started to notice a trend with my attorney's paralegal. I asked my attorney to handle my case directly with me after having problems with my case. I recently found out that the paralegal quit and went to work for my wife's attorney and it seems that since this happened I have been unable to get my attorney to contact me and nothing seems to be happening in my case.

Is this paralegal an employee of the attorney or working in his office or separately?

This is a gross breach of confidentiality which should be reported to the local bar associationl. Do you wish to continue using this attorney or don't you think it would be better to get another one?

then fire the attorney and hire another. There is NOTHING whatsoever in the canons of ethics that require the paralegal NOT to be employed by the other attorney.
