And what about the honest law abiding citizen who simply wants a sinus med that works?

I've never had a problem going and buying as much as I need. I just sign the log book. I'm not doing anything illegal, so I don't worry about it.

They also changed the medication in the regular-formula Sudafed (the little red pills) so you can buy as much of that as you want. I never liked those, I use the 12 hour extended release kind.

Then that person takes it as recommended (and 9g/30 days is more than enough), or get a prescription.

I take sudafed almost every day, a few times/day. I've never had an issue with purchasing the amount I take and then some. If I did, my doctor would have no issue whatsoever writing me a prescription for it.

They changed the decongestant in Sudafed to Phenylephrine. Which doesn't work near as well as Pseudoephedrine in many cases.

The 12 hour extended release ones are still the real stuff. I always used those anyway, if I have a cold, I need to be decongested longer then 4 hours at a time.
