i live in pa and need to know if i can have my daughter adopted by my husband. my ex and i never married, nor did we ever go to court for any support, or visitation. now he is remarried and he doesnt show for his daughter like he used to. even discussed with me that his new life is not a good situation for his daughter. my husband of 2 years has been with my daughter and i since she was 18 months old, now almost 5. need to know what legal steps to take to have him adopt her.bio father is on the birth certificate. he hasnt been with her for over a month now and doesnt make the effort to have any contact with her.

thanks in pa

You need to ask the bio father.. chances are he will say no. At which point, you can do nothing.

You could do adoption if father would agree to sign away his parental rights throught the courts first.
