 What is the name of your province? Ontario, My car was parked on the streets while I was visiting a relative. It was at night that this happened. Another car backed into my car and dented the whole driver's side door. I'm predicting that it was the car from the house across the street because it is in the perfect position for this to happen. There was no witness and I have knocked on their doors and told them what happened. They completely denied this but I'm sure they did it. I jot down the lisence plate of one of their cars. I choose this car because it is most likely to have been the one. My relatives tell me the other cars could not have done it since they are not usually home at that time (at night). Do you think I have a case here? My insurance company has send the owner of the car a letter stating that they are responsible. It has now been 3 months. They denied the responsibilities. They have already fixed up the car by now. What should I do next? Can I sue? If so, I must gather evidence, but how? and would it cost alot? Do I need detectives to do an investigation? Is it even worth the hassel?
