What is the name of your state? ALABAMA

I was on a major four lane county road in the far right lane traveling east. Driving beside me in the left lane was a logging truck moving into the turning lane to make a left turn at which time another vehicle was crossing onto the highway from a side road on the far left and had to cross west bound traffic and a turning median into the east bound traffic which was the same direction as I was driving.

The logging truck waved the vehicle to come across in front to allow him to make the left turn from the highway. The second auto came across in front of the logging truck and hit me from the left. Needless to say the logging truck driver continued without stiopping.

I was knocked clear across the road towards the right into a utility pole. The driver of the SUV stated that I was at fault and has stated this to her insurance company, state troopers and anyone who will listen. I'm still awaiting the state trooper report but it was obvious as to what happened based on where I was hit and where I ended up after being struck.

What options do I have in Alabama?

If you have not already done so, notify your ins. co. of the accident & make a claim for damages with her ins. company.

I was in an accident very similar to this. You are NOT at fault. The driver that hit you was at fault for entering your lane of travel without making sure the way was clear. The truck was not at fault either even though he was stupid.
