My employer has decided to close the office between the week of Christmas and New Years in order to save money on operating costs and salaries. In order to be paid for that week we must use our vacation time. As a salaried employee, my wage was determined on an annual basis. By not having that week of pay, I do not reach the specified annual salary. Is it legal for them to do this?
