What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia

I live in a Townhome Complex. Recently they sent out statement to all homeowner that were behind on their HOA dues saying the they will boot anyone's car on the premises. I am just a renter here. I never received any notice stating that my care was going to be booted. All that goes to the landlord. I've called the law firm that the HOA is dealing with and the told me that it's between me and my landlord. Now I pay him rent ever month. It is up to him to pay the HOA fees. I was not informed that he wasn't paying the fees nor was I informed that my car would be booted for parking in the spot corresponding to my home. The law firm stated that they can boot the owner, tenants, and/or any guest on the property.

Can they do this?

Legally what does this have to do with me? Even if I pay him that doesn't mean he will pay the thousands of back pay in fees for the HOA.
