How can I make the court believe me?

I have falsely accused my husband of domestic abuse. Of course now the D.A. doesn't believe me.
I REALIZE I have made a grave mistake and will be paying for it for along time. I am seeing SO MANY of these same storys in here and I cannot believe that all of them are victims in denial. I understand that it is very difficult for anyone on the outside to see the truth, and alot of women get hurt and killed because of recanting. However, there MUST be a way of sorting this all out. Why do others feel that they know whats best for our families? I think I will take a lie detector test and submit it to the D.A. Do you think this would help?
Please be aware that I am self-loathing enough, i am asking for help, not to be ridiculed. I have seen alot of people being really mean in here and it is really not nessesary.

What you need to REALIZE is that the court system is a business too. The county dose not make any money dismissing cases. Now, as far as me being mean...

Take a lie detector test, and while you are at it jump over the moon. I do not know if you know this but the lie detector is as about accurate as Bush is telling the truth.
Sign an affidavit inwhich you confess your wrong doings and mail it to the defense attorney . . . I am sure he/she will know what to do with it next.

You ask why other people think they can interfere. You invited them to do that when you made a report. Many people have worked long and hard to make the legal system responsive to the issue of domestic violence. Fifty years ago you wouldn't have had a problem because back then the legal system primarily just allowed women to be beat. That DA is doing what he/she is supposed to do.
