I asked about daycare because I was wondering IF that was already factored into the equation of the NCP paying the support. I know that most states have a limit as to how much they will sign off on.[?QUOTE]
Huh?
Here in Ohio, I know that if the NCP has children, that is factored into the amount of child support owed the CP (3100/yr/child...which is the credit giving by the IRS...I guess by "credit" I am talking about when they punch the figures into the system)...affecting it that it will lower the amount the NCP has to pay because he does have other children. That why I also added IF MO even does that. Maybe they don't.
If Ohio does that I am pretty sure that Ohio is the only state that does that. Many states do give some credit of one kind or another for other children...but not all do. I believe that MO is one of the ones that doesn't.
Also here in Ohio, they share the addresses with the CP and the NCP, along with the SS# (I had a problem with that from the get-go simply because of privacy issues...it's even stated it's required by Ohio...I guess it's a matter before that is challenged by someone...esp. in this age of identity theft running rampant). I know this is MO were talking about, but I thought it was like that everywhere.
Family law is VERY different from state to state. Unless a poster is in Ohio don't give them advice based on Ohio law
My apologies for posting any incorrect info. I was reading from the MO Statues and obviously misinterpreted it. I am still learning this stuff.
You need to be careful about that. Someone might not come back after reading incorrect information and that could cause them grief.
