Hello all,
Thanks for the help. I won a decision against a dirty business owner in Rancho Cucamonga about 5 year ago. I have had problems collecting due to lack of funds and lack of info on his location. I recently found that he still lives in San Bernadino County, but I can't find his info. Is there anything I can do? Are there any companies that handle this kind of thing? He owes me roughly 2k.

What information do you want?

How are you going to try to enforce your judgment? What have you done so far?

What's the debtor's status today? What's the status of the business?

There are companies that provide public records for a fee, and there are people who will enforce your judgment for a fee, but you need to better articulate what your needs are.

Thanks for your reply.
I am looking for his current residence, possibly current business address. I have installed the keeper twice in his place of business. I don't understand the debtor's stauts question. Currently he owes me about $1900. I am willing to pay one of the collection companies you have mentioned if the cost is reasonable. HOw do I find out about them? Thanks again

The debtor's status question was because it was not clear from your post whether you were trying to enforce against the individual or the business or whether you even had a choice.

It was not clear whether the business was a corporation or some other legal entity. If it was a corporation, more free public records tend to be available.

I didn't "mention collection companies"; I'm not endorsing any person or entity.

If you Google under "public records" and "judgment enforcement", you should find the resources that you need.

Sorry for the confusion

I am trying to enforce a judgmentagainst a person not the business. I googled what you recomended, it came back witha bunch of companies enforcing judgments, that helps, but is there a way to access the records I need through research or is it a restricted info area? Any info on where to obtain actual free public records and free training on judgment enforcement would be great. Thanks again.

There are lots of information sources you can try.... depending on how aggressive you are and how much 'talent' you have.
Start first with going to the local bookstore or library and getting a book titled "How to Win in Small Claims Court in California". Then read the last few chapters in it.... they tell you how to enforce a judgment.... and include the needed forms.

You should also pursue the information online at:
