How do I do this? The managing agent is in Nassau County (which is located conveniently to me) and the co-op association + their attorney are located in Manhattan. The Nassau County small claims court said they only deal with defendants located in Nassau County. So how do I sue all 3 at the same time?

I owned a co-op in Manhattan and sold it, but 18 hours before the scheduled closing, the attorney for the management company/co-op association (for which I had to pay their attorney fee of $550) postponed the closing, claiming that a document that needed to be signed by the co-op was not received from them yet. (They did receive the document, but one day later on August 12th). The closing date was re-scheduled for 10 days later, costing me $400 in additional maintenance and mortgage interest. The attorney said that the reason they were given for the delay was that co-op signers were away on vacation, but I said that’s not possible since the closing date was scheduled on a Wednesday, and they did receive it the following day. I say they were just negligent in not getting everything in on time, since they didn’t care as they were getting paid from me, regardless of when the closing date was.

Whom should I sue? The attorney? The management company of the co-op? The co-op board?

Sue all of them in small claims court and when you get the judgment, post back with results.
