How do you respectfully re-direct a Judge???

What is the name of your state?AZ

My husbands' request for CS hearing is soon. Mom never filed a response (although she never does and this Judge NEVER grants default judgements)
This case is only about CS. We know mom is going to try to make it about visitation, currently she doesn't have any unless Supervised and at Dads' discretion. I was wondering if Mom continually brings up visitation and other matters and the Judge does get on her tangent, how do we respectfully get back on to the subject we are suppose to be on?

Something as simple as "Your Honor if mom was so concerned about visitation she should have filed a response and asked that we address this issue at todays hearing in advance" ??????

Does that sound catty? My hubby has nothing to worry aabout he has not violated any Visitation Order, there isn't one. Mom has not seen the child since late June. We made her prove one month of checking in and taking clean UAs' and we actually sent the child to her town to stay with maternal grandma and visit with mom and family. Mom spent all of 3 hours over three days. Then mom got picked up for possession of a dangeroud drug/paraphenalia in July and tested dirty on 8-1 (this is the only drug test she has taken since one month clean)

But I digress, we want to go to the hearing get a ruling on the issues and come home, we do not want to prepare two cases on two different issues.

Are we crazy? Should we go prepared for both issues in case the Judge does want to address it? (By the way when I say "we" I know that I do not speak in Court but I do help my hubby prepare all papers and we go over what needs to be said regarding the Hearing)

Any advice welcome and appreciated.....

How about this:
"Your Honor we are not prepared to address the issue of visitation. We request Mom files the proper petition for modification of visitation."

Thanks sometimes you just need someone else to tell you how to say something b/c the emotion is too high to think rationally. Thanks again
