How long does it typically take for judges ruling?

What is the name of your state? WA

After the trial is over, how long does it typically take to get a ruling from the judge?

I've read in state statutes and civil rules that the judge has 90 days. Do judges usually take the entire time alloted? I guess I had some fantasy in my head that I would have some finality at the end of the trial. Now I'm wondering how long I might be left hanging.

I would like to know what experience others have had, even if it is not in WA.

I'm in NY, our judges have 60 days. Our case, too, is over and we are waiting. Our judge promised a ruling by Easter if not shortly thereafter. DH is wondering if he meant Easter next year!

Sigh...I guess you and I will wait together...:(

My hearing was February 28; I've got the child support documentation, but nothing about the visitation. Yard Dog's lawyer was supposed to have written it up, but he still hasn't. I'm not going to stir the pot, but it leaves the situation in a bit of limbo. Mind if I join you two in waiting? :p

I'm actually still waiting for the trial. It is next week. I thought that after next week this would be over, then I found the rules stating the time allotment. I understand the judge needs time to write out the conclusions of law, finding of facts etc...but 90 day is a long time!

I'll join you in the wait. Supposedly my 4 court orders will be signed by the judge this week. That means 4 orders since August 2007. Maybe, just maybe, I might get some child support money. I'll believe and celebrate when I have them in my hot hands.

wow. i will never ever complain about CA courts ever again. i absolutely LOVE the the courtclerks out here. i have yet to run across one with an atittude. One even saved me $100.00 by checking her transcripts and correcting an error she made. Instead of me paying to get the transcripts to prove she made a clerical error. An aside from being yelled at once, the judges have been very fair.
