What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?CT
I wonder if there's anyone out there that can give me some NEW (helpful & accurate) advice as to where I must go and how do I go about accessing Lis Pendens lists/info. I've been told that I must go to the County Courthouse, the Town Clerk's Office, the Tax Collector's Office, "The Courthouse", the Tax Collector's Office in which the property I'm interested in is located, the Court House Located in the town where the property is located.....etc. AND I still am unable to locate where to get such a list. I know that I can buy lists from a "List Broker" however I'm unable to locate one that services CT; most all of them service FL, SC and down South. I also know that foreclosure notices are punlished in the newspaper "paper of record" but this is only one at a time AND everyone else is reading it at this point...I'm looking for very timely information, during the prime-time (early stage) "PREFORCLOSURE" period of the process. So, where must I go, what is the title of the person I need to speak to and should I be asking for something other than "Lis Pendens" notices, how often are they available? Thank you for your reply....I'm very appreciative. ;)

Some legwork involved. Go to the Town Hall/City Hall. Attorneys will file the notice of Lis Pendens on individual homes. Go look in the General Index. Your Town Clerk should be able to assist you. I dont think you will find a list. You would probably have to search all records over the last 30 days to identify Lis Pendens. Connecticut land records are not online, making the searching time consuming. Other states have all info electronically. What will you do with the list once you have it?
