Last week I pulled a muscle while adding heavy cans onto a shelf. At first I thought it was nothing but then the pain became more intense 24hrs later I notified a manager and made an accident report. This was done they day prior to Labor day. I asked what if I want to see a doctor, he said he could do nothing till Tuesday because the next day was labor day. Tuesday morning the safety man took me to the clinic and the DOC verifed my injury and gave me medicine. Over the last few days progress has been slow and they are calling me making all kinds of theats they will fire me and so on. They are very shorthanded and need help. I want to be ready in case, so I need to know:
(1) If they fire me do I have grounds for a suit?
(2) Was not the manager denying me care for 24hrs in violation of the law?
Any other advice or comments would be appreciated.
