The exact notice was as follows:

Here is a little background. The staff in the build where I work all have their own lockers. One of the staff members has a very dirty and messy locker. He keeps food in his locker that attracts roaches. He is the only person that does this and rather then the supervisor confronting him on a one on one basis about it he posted the follow notice as if to say EVERYONE was like that one person:

TO ALL STAFF:

It is time to clean out your lockers they are roach infested.


I personally consider this to be degrading. I keep my locker and work area as clean as I possibly can.

Then the good news is that you can ignore the notice.

You're going to have a lot of angst in life if you can't ignore this sort of nonsense.

There is nothing even remotely illegal about this. You are free to consider it degrading if you wish to but no, there is absolutely no legal recourse you can take.

I would think you would applaud the supervisor for attempting to fix the problem... without going through everyone's locker to find out who is at fault.

Get over yourself.

I would say that even though my supervision knows exactly who he should be speaking to and chooses to put stupid notices like this rather then to speak to the person directly it would be considered more of a matter of professionalism then a legal one. Thank you for all the responds.
