Married four years, sold my house and moved in with STBX, refinanced after two years, both names on house, cashed out 22,000, sunk bunch into house renovating with both of us doing lots of work. In the middle of divorce, he gets use of the house, couldn't find case law against it being his separate property before marriage. All that is OK, I am looking for cash settlement to move on (kid 9 yrs old) not his. 1/2 equity in house won't get me far. Anymore ideas on what to claim for settlement. More to story, not sure if useful. Just looking for past experiences. Thanks.
