What is the name of your state?New Jersey

Basically I worked for a small company 4 full timers, I helped the boss man start a new company and then he bankrupted the old one and wont pay me. While I was getting paid by the old company, all of my work load was for the new company. I am owed 6 weeks pay. Is there anything I can do? Both companies were inc. Both in NJ.

You may have a "priority claim" under 11 U.S.C. §507(a)(5) in the company's bankruptcy. Alternatively, you could consider suing your boss for fraud or any number of state law theories.
