What is the name of your state? Florida

After one year of marriage my husband and I have seperated. I made the mistake of purchasing and taking loans in my name only as his credit was bad. One year ago I kicked him out of my home after he was fired due to drinking on the job. When he left, he signed a statement he would pay me for the debts I have incurred over a period of months. Now he is refusing to pay. What action can I take, if any.

The good news - when you file for divorce you can list the debts that you both created during your marriage and should be able to get the judge to split those debts accordingly.

The bad news - Your creditors are not going to release from his portion of the debt, so if he does not pay, someone will pay, do you know who that person is???

Hopefully you have a house so that money earned in the house can go towards the debts first
