What is the name of your state?Ohio

I was voted out of an S-Corp from my partners, and I wanted to take action against them. I used the bar for a lawyer referral. I met with the lawyers explaining my case (under the impression of a 30 minute free consultation), and also that I did not have funds to pursue it unless it was on a contingency. They coersed me that a law suit was in my best interest. They asked me to sign their fee agreement which I refused.

They then proceeded to draft a letter claiming I was represented by their firm. The next step they took was drafting a 7 page settlement agreement They continually asked me to sign their fee agreement which I refused reminding them I didn't have the funds to pursue the case and I didn't agree to their terms. I then received a bill for $1500 and when I called the lawyer to dicsuss this with them, he told me "Pay your God Damn Bills!" At that point they stopped representing me and kept sending me invoices.

I have filed the proper paperwork for a fee dsipute but in the meantime I am being sued for $1500 from them in court. Does anyone have any advice for me? Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you.

Explain why you kept going back there and why they kept working for you AFTER you said you would not sign the fee agreement.
