I received the the I-797c yesterday, but I do not know if I have to register in class again.

I received the the I-797c yesterday from immigration. I came with student visa (F1), but my husband (citizen) is appling for my green card.
My last class was almost 60 days ago. If I do not registerd again for class ,I will be ilegal in the USA?
I do not want to get in trouble with immigration.

First, what does the I-797C say? That's going to be the determining factor for a lot of this.

If you're not enrolled in classes at the school that your visa was issued for, then your visa ceases to be valid.

If your application HAS been made and you entered legally, you may stay while you wait for a determination without accruing unlawful presence (provided you eventually get approved). Note, that if you leave the country, you may have difficulty returning without a valid visa.

Yes, I came legal with student visa (F1), but my last class was 40 days ago, So I have a few days to make the decision.



I do not want to register in another school again, but I do not know if I am alright with the I-797C for now.

You are OK, as long as you don't leave the country. Since you entered legally hand submitted your application while you were in status, you are on "hold" until they make a decision. If for some reason they turn you down, your "illegal presence" will be back dated to when your stay expired (likely 30 days after you left the program).

Note not being signed up for classes is not the same as not being in the program. Note also, that finding another school isn't going to work. You should have done that BEFORE you left the other program. An F1 visa is only valid for a particular program. It's not something you keep as long as you sign up for some class at some school. It has to be for the specific program.
