If my kids get checks MUST I take care of ex?

I have been seperated for over a year and in n.c. that is grounds for divorce , i've been giving my ex $500 of my disability of $900 a month and i can't make it , my kids recieve checks from my disability also , my ex thinks i have to give her this money to take care of her , i don't know what to do , i just want my life back , i've been trying to be nice to her but she doesn't apprieciate it at all.Child support offices say since my kids get checks through disability i can't be made to pay child support because thats what those checks are ,i'm the one who lost my hand ,wears a pacemaker and needs a cpac machine to sleep ,must i take care of my ex with MY disability?

Why have you not petitioned for divorce ? Any income the children recieve is taken into account. So, if you are ordered to pay 500/mnt for the children and the children receive 300/mnt through your disability then you should then only be ordered to pay 200/mnt.

I suggest you get the ball rolling and petition for divorce.

Thanks , and yes i know i need to file 4 divorce...

Then stop giving your soon to be X all of your money. The kids get checks from your disability, and right there is support for the children. Stop paying her (you have no court order to anyway) and save your money for an attorney.

Ahhh Hell, I say let the ex have as much money as she needs.. LOL, can you believe this guy? Advertising his sex sites on here?

This is good.. maybe that is why he has the pacemaker and cpac machine to sleep, his consience bothers him too much.

I really don't feel so bad now knowing that i've known i don't HAVE to give her my money as the kids get $247.00 each a month , but since she said i'm going to do right by HER for the rest of my LIFE , even though for a year my corvettes been down but i didn't mind as i'm working my internet businesses , but now i'll be moving on and won't feel bad , because SOME WOMEN are just true B------ and can't help it.
