What is the name of your state? Texas

a detective recieved an anonymous telephone call that a volunteer at a highschool was dealing drugs to students. teh detective observed the volunteer and did not confirm that he was involved in illegal activity. The detective then ran a background check on the volunteer and found that he had four narcotics convictions in teh past four years. does the detective have lawful grounds to arrest the volunteer the next time he does observations at the school??

I cannot get my laws straight, can anyone help me answer the following..please reply ASAP

He can not be arrested soley because he was convicted of crimes in his past. Has the school told him he can not return?

ASAP is not a law, it is an acronym for As Soon As Posable.

Can't help but laugh at that bright answer, as the poster meant"As Soon As Possible"

School districts are not obligated to to have criminal backgrounds on volunteers..

YEP! I mispelled it. The letter "A" and I go way back, Just don't get along with that letter.

I corrected for you however, I will try to be more careful of my fast spelling in the future. It appears to me only a selected few are spell checked.

Correct me any time you want if you have a thing about spelling and typing, I will do my best to jump in and correct it.

Thanks, my computer had a mind of it's own. I had corrected that word numerous times, but my computer kept freezing.

The computer will work better if not stored in the icebox while in use. The CPU will not heat up that quickly.

Actually the blow dryer worked great for heating it up. Come to find out it was not my new puter, but SBC. Thank you for spending the time to help me. So I take it the icebox is a "NoNo" for my computer? Who would have thunk it.

Wow, look at all the spelling experts. It's amazing that your legal question drifted throughout so many legal scholars only to be scrutized for spelling, grammatical, and syntax errors. That said, your spelling errors were actually mystifying. Okay, they were impressive.

But your legal question went unanswered. As near as I can gather, your quandry is whether some volunteer at your school can be pinched because he has priors. Specifically, you say that he has four drug convictions.

The answer: Depends on your school district's hiring policy.

I am beginning to admire your keen sense of the obvious. (spell checker?)
