Hi I have a question. My best friend has been in the US since she was a child. Her mother came her first but sent for her about 4 years later. When she came she did have a valid passport but the passport has now expired. It expired a very long time ago. She came her when she was about 9 years old and is now 30. She has a very extensive criminal record and she has served jail time twice sense she has been here but never for more than 9 months. Her mother never got her citizenship so that would make her illegal wouldn't it? Is there any way for her to become a us citizen? Also she has worked for about the last 14 years. What should she do? Just a quick note: Most of her criminal past is drug selling.

Please Help!

They need to see an immigration attorney. With her record, it seems that they would deport her. How I am not sure..

Is there any way she could clean up her record? She hasn't been in any trouble since 1997. How would they know to deport her or where to find her if she doens't get into any more trouble? And also why wouldn't they have deported her while she was in jail in 1997?
