What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? I'm in FL he's in IA, court order in FL

Court order issued in March 2004 with income deduction order. He was supposed to pay me directly until the IDO through employer began. He paid a few of times and a couple of checks bounced. IDO has begun and I receive checks weekly now. He has never paid the rest of the in between stuff. Total due in $633.84.

Saturday, I received a notice of Hearing before General Master regarding motion to contest impending judgement. I dont know what this is. I did not initiate anything. Do I need a lawyer for this, since he is the one in trouble. I think I would have to pay another retainer to my lawyer, since she was finished with the case.

It sounds like CSE is initiating judgement proceedings for the unpaid support and the other parent is contesting the judgement. I doubt you need an attorney but you defiinitely should go to court. Just make sure you know exactly how much is owed to you in arrears and have proof.
