What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? DC

Part 1: How is music allowed to be played in arenas and stadiums at sporting events? I assume the building or the team has purchased an ASCAP license?

Part 2: Same question above, but for other copyrighted material. I've seen clips from movies and TV shows shown on the jumbotron as part of in game entertainment. Is there a license similar to ASCAP's that allows for the use of this entertainment programming?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
