What is the name of your state? NJ
I was reading another thread that talked a little about income share model.
Is NJ one of those states?
I have been reading child support guidelines for NJ. It's a tough thing to understand especially when the talk is usually about children up to age 17. Daughter is 20 and in college. Even without that it is still hard to understand but we are trying. I didn't see anything about income share model. Or maybe I did and did not realize what it was.
This is one of the things I found:
"According to Appendix IX-A, item #28 of the guidelines, immediately following the establishment or modification of a child support award, each party shall be provided with a copy of the support order, and if requested, a copy of the child support guidelines worksheet and any financial affidavits used to determine the obligation. "
Has anyone heard of this? DH was not given anything that showed how child support was calculated. Ex made more money than DH at time of divorce.
