What is the name of your state? Maryland

Just bought a condo that was given a clean bill of health by home inspectors. After moving in found out immediately that the air conditioner and dish washer don't work. Called the home isnpectors and they basically said they couldn't do anything since it was working when they tested it. Is there any kind of recourse or protection against this. Can't be that easy for them do get away with it. I can understand if it was working when we moved in and then stopped after a few days but this is ridiculous. Any advise would be appreciated.

Were you present when the home inspection was done?

**A: and/or was your Realtor or representative present? If not, why not?
Why did you not elect to purchase a home warranty?
