What is the name of your state? VA
My debt was discharged about a month and a 1/2 ago. Recently I found out that I am to receive an inheritance from a diceased relative. I do not know when the inheritance will be disbursed or the amount of the disbursment. Is my inheritance going to be taken from me? Do I need to report this information to anyone? I don't want to be sneaky about it, yet I'd hate for my relative's money used to pay MY past debt. Please help!!

no such luck

At our 341 meeting our trustee made it very clear that if someone died within 6 months of our filing date, and we were named named in the will, we had to notify him because the inheritance would belong to the bankruptcy estate. The critical date is the date the person died, not the date you get the money. This is spelled out plain as day in the NOLO book and any number of bankruptcy resources. This is one of those that if you did not notify the trustee and he/she found out somehow, the court could revoke your discharge.
