What is the name of your state? Illinois

My Insurance Company is finding me at fault for an accident with my car this past winter. I do not belive whatsoever that I am at fault for this. They are raising my rate by $250 every 6 months to top it off and I have a clean driving record driving for 13 years. Here is what happened:

My car was parked in a inclined driveway for about 3 hours. The weather was very cold and icy. My car is a stick shift and was properly parked. I wasnt in the area (1/2 hour away) when this happened but my car rolled or slid down the driveway into a ditch and bumped into an SUV. The SUV wasnt damaged but my car was from the ditch. The police officer on the scene declared I was not at fault after he inspected the scene & my vehicle issuing no tickets. I have a high detuctable on full coverage insurance and paid half the total damage cost.
I just found out they found me at fault when they sent me a renewal policy that was jacked up. I really feal like they are unjustly trying to rip me off and dont really know what I can do about it.

Questions: Isnt this comprehensive & not collision?
How can I be declared at fault when my vehicle was properly parked for 3 hours with no one in the car?
Is there anything I can do to fight this?

Thank You for anyone that replies!!

Do you have a drivers license? 1st thing they teach you is to put the parking brake on and turn the wheels into the curb when parking on a hill. YES your responsible for parking your car correctly.NO EXCUSES.

Please READ before making crude remarks.
Did I say the vehicle was properly parked? YES
If it wasnt how could it stay in place for 3 hours also.
The vehicle slid on ice down the driveway.

how did ice form under your tires? was ice on the driveway when you first parked the car?

you can request a review of the fault assessment. send a letter to your carrier requesting all information on which they based the increased rate.

I agree with Stephenk. Are you sure that the rate increase was from finding you at-fault or just a normal increase.

If your wheels were turned into the curb, it's pretty strange how your car would have continued to roll.
