Virginia.
A buyer is claiming that I didn't send his merchandise to him after he paid for it. He called the DA's office in my city and a rep. emailed me saying I must call him. I contacted the seller asking for recepit of payment and he gave it to me. I offered to sent the merchandise or refund his money. Will I still be in trouble even if I correct this issue with the buyer?

Thank you.

THIS is EXACTLY the reason to us UPS and NOT the US post office......

UPS provides you with a tracking #, and you can follow the package's whereabouts right on the UPS website....

No confusion, no loss, and proof it was sent and it was delivered...

NEVER send anything by the US post office, unless its overseas....

Hmmm.

and here I thought USPS offered those same things plus no tracking, depending on what you pay for.

Most people are TOO STUPID, to figure it out...

UPS makes it easy because you have no choice. You WILL get a tracking #, and someone WILL sign for it...Period!

Let me see now, badtenant is calling people stupid...

isn't that a bit like the pot calling the kettle black?

Yes, the USPS has the same services as do UPS and FedEx (even DHL) and yes, I have had only one problem with them in 24 years that I have used them, and the insurance I took out on the shipment more than paid for it.

It really doesn't matter which service you use. Just make sure the delivery is signed for and that you recieve a copy of the signed reciept.

Well the shipping method is not the problem right now. My question is, can the DA press charges even if I refund the money?

I guess someone in here has not bothered to research what services the USPS offers, probably cause he/she has a hard on against the USPS. BTW, ups dropped off a 900.00 vcr on my door step without getting a signature and FEDEX claimed a package was delivered to me on a friday(checked their tracking online), sat morning I called and asked where it was, they said they would check but their records showed it was delivered friday and then my son called a hour later and said fedex just delivered my package. Bottom line all services have problems or service failures. Usps offers several types ie;

certified-sig required
register - sig required
numbered insured - sig required
signature confirmation- hence the name
express mail - sig required

all with different prices
how many services do ups offer with different pricing, designed to meet ones needs!

In 31 years I have been provided with excellent service by usps.....I better stop now...
If all the guy wants is his merchandise then send it!
Sounds like to me that no charges would be filed unless he does not get what he wants.
