I've been on probation for a year now for a shoplifting charge. I only stole about thirty dollars worth of merchandise. My probation was supposed to end June 28th, but I got another charge, which was truency. I went to court for that, had a lawyer, and won. But today I went to a meeting with my PO and she lead me on to believe that everything was okay. I turned in some community service hours, and told her everything was going well with me. She smiled, and said good. I had left her a message the night before about having to meet with her, and so she asked me what that was about. I told her that since I was going to Arizona, i needed to get some form signed. She said I never told her I was going, and I reminded her that I had, and that she was the one who told me that I needed to get a form signed. She agreed. Then she asked me when I was leaving, and for how long, ect. I answered. Then she pulled out a bunch of papers and said she had "my little journal". I have a livejournal, and she somehow found it. I have NO idea how she could have, and i know that my mother didn't give it to her. She then started reading quotes to my mother, about cocaine, and drugs in general, and problems i wrote about concerning my mother. She tried to manipulate my mother against me, but thats besides the point. In one of my entries, i wrote something about her being a bitch, the PO that is. And she read that line, and said, "you want a bitch, well you've got a bitch. You're not going to Arizona, and if you do, i'll have you arrested the minute you get back". I started crying, and demaned to know how she got a hold of my live journal. I pressed the fact that it was invasion of privacy, and she told me that i shouldn't put my journal out there. The reason i have a live journal is because it helps my friends keep up with me for one, for two, my mother would read a hand written journal. I left her office immediately after telling her that shes a ****ing bitch. She ran after me saying "Excuse me? What did you just call me? Come back here little girl". I'm 17 years old, and I think she needs to treat me like a human being before some utensil at her job, and a little girl. I came home and did some research, found out that Livejournal policy states "Do not invade the privacy of others." But I'm not sure if that is enough... In any case, I don't think she has the right to use any information contained in the journal against me, but I don't know if that is correct. Can anyone help me get out of this one?
