What is the name of your state? Nevada

I am a foreign national who invested in a business with a US citizen. We both own 50% of the company. We employ 4 part-time US employees. I thought at first this would just be an investment, but in order to efficiently manage the business, my presence is required on a daily basis.

I know I can petition for a E1 or E2 visa but the requirements are to invest at least $500,000, and i invested 1/10 of that amount !

What are my possibilities at this point ? If I am not in the US to manage it, that business may go under really quick and these part times employees may lose their job.

Any help welcome.
Many thanks !

Who told you that you must invest half a million dollars in order to qualify for the E visa? That is absolutely NOT true. You must invest a substantial amount that is seen as sufficient for running the business and also supporting you and your family but there is no specific amount prescribed. It is all viewed on a case by case basis depending on your business plan and the type of enterprise you are running.

Half a million dollars

Thank you very much for your information. I looked into what you said and you are right, this is a case to case matter.

However, it does specify that full time jobs muct be created, and I only have 4 part-time independent contractors. Could that threaten my application ?
