What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas
Our new order states that in addition to child support, Dad is Ordered to pay $xxx to Mom as medical support as reimbursement for health insurance that is provided by mom. Medical Support is to begin on July 1, 2011.
I was considering emailing Dad out of curiosity to see if it was garnished with his child support payments, however he is still mad about it and I'm a little scared to 'inflame' him further.
Is medical support typically garnished or is Dad responsible for sending those payments in himself?
There was no change in child support and everything has continued the same. I've received it as I normally do.. Wondering if I should just keep waiting or when should I contact someone to find out if it's being submitted at all?
My curiosity is that when we decided that I would carry the insurance, I had to immediately put my daughter on my health insurance and dad was to immediately start paying but it's been 3 months since this was decided and over two months since he was ordered to start paying. I also understand that it would be a month behind like the child support is because of pay days.
I don't want to contact anyone 'too soon' if you know what I mean. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
