I had rented a home in Vancouver. I was there for 2 months and the owner found out that I had a dog. The dog was not allowed as stated on the lease. Therefore the property management company chose to evict me. The management company never did a home inspection when I moved in. My rent was 1500 and I chose to give them only 750 for the last month. I did this because they had a security deposit of 750. Legally they cannot keep the deposit because the inspection was not done on the day I moved in. The management company was already pissed at me for the dog and I didn't want to risk losing or fighting for my deposit back. They did a home inpection on my 6th week of tenacy. In doing so, they went into everything. They have called my work and left messages about being evicted, asking the receptionist to "tell him in front of everyone". 4 times they violated my workplace with messages or phonecalls, entering my office 3 additonal times to announce my eviction with the presentatio of the paperwork surrounding the evcition process. On top of that, they called my boss and told him they found pot in my freezer. I don't see how my tenacy has anything to do with my career. Is this harassment?
