hello everyone..iam a new member and iam so glad i found this site. hope you can help me with one question i have: Iam holding a J1 exchange visitor visa (au pair) that expires in march 2007, iam looking for changing my status because i want to go to school here and become a full time student. I have a degree in business from my country but i want my credicts to be tranfered and get the degree from here. I know that as a international student iam not able to work. I've heard about the J1 trainee visa but i know i will need a host company to hire me as a trainee..does anyone know how can get a host company? and will i be able to attend the school while iam holding this kind of visa?..is there any other visa that allows me to study and work ( i've heard there's one in NY)
Thanks
