What is the name of your state? NY

The credit card company obtained a judgment from court and has seized my bank accounts and now has garnished 10% of my salary. Bankruptcy is the only way out of this mess however how do I get the judgment rmoved. I am doing the filing by myself.

Any feedback is most welcome and thank you.

You include the debt that caused the judgment in your BK filing.

Once you get your discharge, you will have to go back to the court where the judgment was entered against you and fild a Motion to Vacate based on your bankruptcy. That is the only way the judgment itself will be eliminated.

just out of curiosity...

How long did it take after you stopped paying your credit cards for them to sue you and garnish your wages?

Thanks!

After 5 years of non-payment the credit card companies began to take action last year.
