What is the name of your state? NC

I may be in the wrong thread I'm not sure but here goes.
We all get junk mail and I get several items per day 4-6. So I get adds for cable, can't get cable where I'm at. I get adds for news papers can't get it delivered where I'm at. We are talking several times per week from the same company so I told them that from now on I was going to charge a $100.00 desposal fee for every piece of junk mail I get from them and the women laughed at me and said go ahead.
Well some of these companies are actually paying me. A friend says I could be arrested for fraud. I told them to stop or I was going to do this can I actually be charged with a crime. I'm actually doing well.

whats the fraud?

He says I'm representing a disposal company falsly. I sent every company a letter explaining what I was going to do if I wasn't removed from mailing lists, then sent them a nice bill to their billing department saying desposal fee.
These are car companies some 3 times per week, cable co., phone co.'s etc. The worst part is most don't offer services at my house.

What does why don't you opt off mean ?

Simply copy and paste the link I provided without the url attachments .

The problem is these places get names and addresses from public information .

Opt off , optout , remove from mailing list .

One place :

888) 5OPTOUT (888-567-8688) is a single number you can call to opt-out of Innovis and the three major credit bureaus. It is available in English and Spanish.
