I live in Va.
My ex-husband has a girlfriend. They were living in the house I legally own with my Ex. My ex-husband had claimed bankruptcy and the house was to be auctioned off in Dec.2000. I was concerned about removing property that belonged to me and my daughter. He refused to let me enter the house. He threaten to shoot me. Under my lawyers advice, I had a police excort go with me and 2 friends to get our things.

A couple of weeks later I was arrested for grand larency.
The girlfriend has claimed that I stole a diamond ring and several other small items.I did not do this, nor did either of my friends. The girlfriend told a neighbor that she was going to get back at me.

This is the second time I've been arrested because of a lie told by them. In Sept. 2000 he claimed I vandalised his truck. The judge found me not guilty. He's done other things to be vendictive.

Do I have any grounds to take these two people to court?
What about punitive and compensatory damages?
What about civil harassment or person injury?
