IT'S ABOUT TIME SOME OF THE GOOD THINGS CAME ROLLING AROUND HERE!!!!!

LB2 - I hope everything will work out with the back surgery. will keep you in my prayers.

I keep catching myself when I talk to everyone at work and I get to say "husband" again. It's a little weird - kind of makes me giggly in side. Feel like a high school girl with a crush again. LOL

We get to go home this weekend. He gets to deal with his ex again. She refused his visitation with his boys last weekend because he was in my car and she refused to let her children ride in it. (we drove mine in instead of his)

We kinda got sneaky with the wedding and got it past his ex. So we had a very quiet wedding day and a nice week after. But, the news will be all over back home when we go in this weekend. So the fun is just starting. We are already getting ready for the prank phone calls and the cussing. He has also consulted with an attorney and got the ball rolling for established visitation and support. (Things were going really well until I entered the picture. She agreed to let him see the kids whenever he wanted. He paid her support directly to her. No established visitation or child support.)

Anyways...things are definitely looking up.

Hope it continues.

Way to go, jyoung! I too like the unbiased third party idea. Sounds very similar to a G.A.L. Hopefully they'll look solely for the best interest of your daughter, and you'll be standing tall. I'll bet her attorney did jump at the chance. The judge was wise to hold the contempt motion in abeyance--maybe that will serve as a deterrent.

LB2, Your ex agreeing to the increase on the advice of his attorney had me chuckling. I can just hear the advice being passed on. Good luck on getting into surgery after all these months of pain. Glad they got you in soon.

Put a couple of things my ex said the other night together and have come to the conclusion that I was asking for less of an increase then one of the other ex's that has recently tried to pursue a increase (there are two ex's after our divorce that he has a children with). He has no contact with any of the other 3children, one older then our son, and two younger. He made a comment about having to quit his part time construction job because it could be used to determine support, which I have known about for years, but have never pursued a increase just because he was making more money. Come to find out, one of the mothers of the two younger then my son has also petitioned for an increase of support, so just from his comments I came to the conclusion that he and his wife decided they would rather pay more for our son whom they have contact with, then the other children whom they don't.

I knew he was not having an easy time of it, four kids, four seperate support orders. Quite frankly, I feel for his newest wife, they dont and wont have any kids, partly because she is not capable of having them, and partly because they could never afford it. I do like her, and am glad that my son has such a wonderful person now to look to as his step mother.

Anyways, guess I had better try to get some sleep, early appt in the morning. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday, will try to get on tomorrow and let you all know how the Dr appt went.
